He is smart and a good doctor but my only complaint is he is always late. I had a 11 am appointment. I arrived at 10:45 as instructed. Staff called me at 11:05 and took me to the examine room. I waited in the room alone until 12:00 pm doctor came in an hour late. This is the normal for doctor Pena and it is disappointing. He is very knowledgable and freindly but always late. needs to value my time also. I left at 12:45 pm after discharge

Dr. Pena has a history of being considerably late. My wife is also his patient but will not schedule an appointment with him unless it is the first one in the morning. Today I had a 1:30 appointment. At 1:25 the nurse called me back to check my weight, blood pressure and temperature. By 1:45 she said the doctor would be in, and left the room. At 2:35, more than an hour after my scheduled appointment...nobody was courteous enough to keep me informed of the doctor's status... I put on my sweatshirt and jacket, then left. On my way out I stood near the nurse's desk. She was on the phone. Though she saw me, she continued the call for about 3 minutes, then interrupted her call, and said I was next for the doctor. I told her my appointment was more than an hour ago and I had another commitment. She asked if I would like to reschedule. I said I would call. Probably will not.
