He has not been on time for my visits recently which is problematic. It has been over an hour each time. 30 min I feel is being flexible, over an hour is poor scheduling and mismanagement on staff time management.

My appointment was for 11am. I was there 15 minutes prior. The staff was helpful and got me checked in and in the room on time. I sat there for over an hour and Dr Peña didn’t show up. The staff, let me know that, while Peña was in the office, there were 2 patients ahead of me. I made sure that I was on time for the appointment and while I understand there can be delays, over an hour is unacceptable when the Dr wasn’t called away for an emergency. I had to leave and reschedule the appointment. My time is just as important as Dr Peña’s.

Dr. Pena is thorough. He raises issues that my prior family doctor in Chicago did not discuss with me. He takes time to answer my questions.

He is smart and a good doctor but my only complaint is he is always late. I had a 11 am appointment. I arrived at 10:45 as instructed. Staff called me at 11:05 and took me to the examine room. I waited in the room alone until 12:00 pm doctor came in an hour late. This is the normal for doctor Pena and it is disappointing. He is very knowledgable and freindly but always late. needs to value my time also. I left at 12:45 pm after discharge
