EVEN THOUGH YOU COULD SEE THAT DR. BEWLEY WAS TIRED FROM FAMILY WORRIES SHE DID NOT LET THIS INTEREFERE WITH GIVING ME FULL ATTENTION. WHEN SHE TOOK THE HYPOCRATIC OATH TO TEND TO HER PATIENTS AS COMPLETELY AS POSSIBLE AND WITH GIVING ANYTHING SHE NEEDED TO SAY TO YOU WITH A TONE THAT SAID SHE TOOK WHAT YOU DID PERSONALLY. (LIKE - DID THEY REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT I TOLD THEM THOUGHT) SINCE I AM A OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE EXPERIENCED OTHER DOCTORS AND ALSO THE SPECIALISTS I AM SEEING I HAVE A BROAD SPECTRUM OF DOCTORS AND I KNOW THAT WHEN I SAY THAT DR. BEWLEY IS AWESOME I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

I love who Dr. Bewley is. She has always taken the time to address and reflect on any of my healthcare concerns. That said, I felt what I will call “the Medicare effect” (ie-patient rotation) impacting the much appreciated explanations that have accompanied my visits in the past. WHEN YOU NEED TO FIND A NEW DOCTOR THIS CAN BE A CHALLENGE WHICH IS WHERE I WAS AT WHEN WE TRIED DR. BEWLEY. I HAD ALREADY MET SOME DUDS ON THE WAY. FROM THE MOMENT I MET HER SHE STARTED CHECKING THE RIGHT BOXES OF WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. SHE WAS REPLACING A FAMILY DOCTOR THAT I HAD FOR YEARS. QUITE QUICKLY I KNEW SHE WAS THE DOCTOR I WANTED TO GO WITH. THIS DECISION WAS MADE MANY YEARS AGO AND I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED IT. IF SOMEONE IS LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR THAT SHOWS SINCERE CARE FOR YOU AS WELL AS HAVING A WEALTH OF MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE THEY WOULD NEVER GO WRONG WITH GETTING HER FOR THEIR DOCTOR.

ON THIS VISIT I CAME TO DR. BEWLEY WITH A PROBLEM THAT WAS UPSETTING ME. SHE CALMLY ASKED MANY QUESTIONS TO GET THE FULL PICTURE OF ALL THAT WAS GOING ON. THEN LOOKING OVER MY CHART OF MEDICINES AND HEALTH ISSUES I HAD SHE STARTED TO LOOKE CAREFULLY AT HOW THEY WOULD IMPACT THE SITUATION. SHE THEN TOOK AND WROTE A NUMBER OF TESTS SHE WANTED DONE AND MADE THEM ALL STATE SO SHE WOULD HAVE THE RESULTS RIGHT AWAY. AS SOON AS SHE GOT THE RESULTS SHE POSTED A SMALL RESULT WITH THE TEST TO LET ME KNOW THAT THIS ONE TURNED OUT NOT TO BE THE PROBLEM, CARE LIKE THAT IS HARD TO FIND BUT I FOUND THIS TREASURE IN DR. BEWLEY

Dr. Bewley is very personable. She is very caring and makes sure that you receive the medical attention that you need. She is very knowledgeable. At my visit with Dr. Bewley on May 23, 2025, she told me about a diagnosis that my Specialty Physicians of Illinois cardiologist never relayed to me. That diagnosis is potentially a life threatening diagnosis, and I think it is very negligent of that cardiologist not to have even told me about it.

Engaged and smart doing all she can to get the client what they need. So sorry the healthcare system is compromised and annoying to navigate making it frustrating for physicians to do their job. The time constraints on length of visits makes it hard for physicians to connect with patients in a personal way. I usually leave with the referrals I need but do not feel heard. There is not enough conversation time to get answers for the “what if” questions.

IT MIGHT SOUND STRANGE BUT DR. BEWLEY IS MY TYPE OF DOCTOR. SHE IS VERY SMART AND KNOWS A LOT ABOUT A LOT OF DIFFERENT HEALTH ISSUES. BUT SHE IS ALSO HUMAN ENOUGH TO ADMIT THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING. RECENTLY A CARDIOLOGIST I SEE HAS GIVEN ME A DIAGNOSIS AND PART OF IT WAS SOMETHING DR. BEWLEY WAS NOT UP ON. SO SHE STATED THAT SHE WAS GOING TO READ UP ON IT SO SHE COULD HELP HOW IT AFFECTS ME SO IF I COME TO SEE HER SHE WILL KNOW HOW TO INCORPORATE THIS INFORMATION WITH ANY PROBLEMS I BRING TO HER. SHE IS NOT ONE OF THOSE DOCTORS THAT WILL NOT ADMIT THEY MIGHT NOT KNOW ALL THEY SHOULD. THE FACT OF HER STATEMENT GIVES ME MORE CONFIDENCE IN HER TREATMENTS FOR ME BECAUSE SHE KNOWS THE FACTS THAT ARE NECESSARY TO CONSIDER. IN MY ESTIMATION OF HER SHE IS A CARING, VERY COMPETENT AND WANTS TO DO HER VERY BEST FOR HER PATIENT. JUST ONE MORE REASON AS LONG AS SHE IS IN PRACTICE I WILL BE HER PATIENT.

Dr. Bewley Thomas is a skilled, efficient, and caring doctor. She attentively listened and promptly responded to my concerns, which were minor. She is experiencing challenges herself, due to her husband having recently suffered a stroke, and her mom being placed in hospice. In spite of these circumstances, she was still cheerful and gracious. We need more doctors like her. Sacrificially, she was even working of Good (Holy) Friday, two days before Easter. I am praying for her and her family.

HER MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE IS AMAZING AND SINCE SHE SOMETIMES HAS TO ACT LIKE A GUIDE TO ANOTHER DOCTOR WHO SPECIALIZES IN WHAT I NEED SHE KNOWS WHO IS AVAILABLE AND WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR ME.
