Over the 70 or so years I’ve been mature enough to recognize and appreciate the doctor patient dance, I’ve danced with maybe 20 or 25 different Doctors. Many times I invited them to the dance and on some occasions they invited,or took, me to the dance. A few of them weren’t good dancers, a couple of them wouldn’t dance with me, several were good dancers and a few could dance with “the stars.” In my experience, Dr.Tan is one of those stars. He leads when it’s needed and he asks me to lead when I need to do my part. He is knowledgeable, relaxed, and prepared. I’m quite pleased he is my doctor.

He seems to make decisions without my input. e.g.: After I left my office visit, I received a phone call from my pharmacy about my 'scripts that Dr. Tan submitted. These are meds typically sent from one of my specialist Dr.'s, not Dr. Tan. Also, he sent them to a local pharmacy in lieu of the mail order pharmacy that I prefer, since I don't have to leave the house to get them. He is fine with consultations and diagnoses. I have no problem with that. Just sometimes he needs to consult with the patient a little better.
