Dr. Stewart was our doctor before he came to Franciscan, we would follow him anywhere! He's unique! Explains everything, draws pictures if you need them. Again, as far as we're concerned, he's the ONLY Heart Doctor in Northwest Indiana!

Dr David Stewart was: understanding, patient, transparent, and willing to communicate with me about my condition (and plan for treatment) in a way that I don't think I've ever had from any doctor in my life. He was willing to be realistic while not being critical. Most importantly, Dr Stewart made sure to emphasize the importance and reasons for tests he wanted to see, while simultaneously easing my anxiety related to my heart issues. Without a doubt, this has been the best experience with a doctor, of any sort, in my 45 years. I've had a lot of bad luck with non-communicative doctors over the years. And this truly felt like a breath of fresh air.

Dr. Stewart has the best bedside manner of any Doctor I have ever met. He took care of my wife when she had a blood clot that let loose and cut off blood supply to one of her feet. He also did an angiogram on me, all when he was at community hospital. I didn’t hesitate to wait a little while to see him again at Franciscan when it was recommended that I see a cardiologist again because of a high cac score. He is the type of person that you would immediately want to be friends with. On top of all that and more importantly, a great cardiologist!
