HE HAS A GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH A LONG TERM PROBLEM WHICH HAS BEEN HARD TO DIAGNOSE. HE HAD ME DO SOME SPECIAL TESTS TO HELP AND IT WAS NOT AS DEFINITIVE AS HE WOULD HAVE LIKED - NO CLEAR DIAGNOSIS. SO HE DID NOT JUST SAY - OH WELL LEARN TO LIVE WITH YOUR PROBLEM BUT CAME UP WITH A COUPLE OF IDEAS FOR ME TO TRY THAT MIGHT HELP TO GIVE ME AN ANSWER AND A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL.

HIS ABILITY TO LISTEN TO YOU AS YOU TELL HIM WHAT IS WRONG IS ADMIRABLE. THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST VISIT TO SEE HIM JUST A DIFFERENT PROBLEM. HE IS UP ON THE LATEST TYPES OF TESTS TO COVER MY PROBLEM. HE GIVES OFF AN AURA OF CONFIDENCE WHICH IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE THEN WHEN HE TELLS YOU WHAT HE THINKS YOU KNOW IT IS WHAT HE NEEDS TO DO TO HELP YOU. HE IS ALSO NOT AGE DISCRIMINATORY (I AM 81) AND FEELS THAT I NEED THE SAME CARE AND CONCERN AS SOMEONE YOUNGER. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH OTHER DOCTORS - NONE OF WHICH I HAVE ENCOUNTERED AT OLYMPIA FIELDS BUT HAD THE EXPERIENCE AT ANOTHER HOSPITAL.

As an introvert, his manner seems distant, but his attention to my history and getting to the bottom of that were commendable.
