Overview

Franciscan Health Pediatrics Indianapolis offers onsite specially trained pediatric respiratory, speech, physical and occupational therapists to help your child recover. We also have pediatric hospitalists, and nurses who have advanced education and are specially trained to work with children and their unique needs. Children in our unit will also have access to a variety of hospital specialists on site, including pediatric neurologists. All of our nurses are trained in pediatrics, with the majority being PALS certified. In addition, we have some Certified Pediatric Nurses on staff. In addition, we have a dedicated social worker who works specifically with the Center for Women and Children.

We treat common causes for hospitalization in children such as hydration, pneumonia, serious bacterial infections, drug overdoses, asthma, among many other conditions.

Our pediatric inpatient rooms feature couches that transform into a comfortable twin size bed, so a parent or guardian can stay overnight with the child comfortably. We want to make our patients, and their families feel at home during a pediatric hospital stay, so we also offer a family lounge with access to coffee, soda and comfortable seating. We offer in room TVs and Xbox games for patients, as well as toys and games for our younger patients.
