Overview
We are dedicated to evaluating and treating pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence. We partner with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to offer extraordinary care in our inpatient pediatric unit at Franciscan Health Crown Point.
Our Unit Features
- 12 dedicated beds for pediatric patients with proximity to the 2 nurses’ stations
- Central Telemetry Monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry monitoring of oxygen levels
- Safety measures: The Central HUGS system security monitoring allows for monitoring of pediatric patients of all ages and continually monitor exits within and outside of the unit throughout the entirety of the hospital
- Child friendly activity room with natural light, 2 portable WII units, large flat screen television, child size tables/chairs, toys, lounge chairs
- Experienced and trained pediatric nurses
- Two family sleeping rooms for families so they can stay as a unit, close to home as available
- Respiratory/PT/OT/Speech therapists and Dietitian available
- Special Menus with child friendly food, toddler and pediatric menus (order from the bedside)
