You will receive one-on-one hands-on care that will assess your range of motion/mobility, strength, gait, balance and overall impairments that may have affected your functional activities.
This facility uniquely offers aquatic (or water-based) therapy. This treatment uses the water’s natural buoyancy to reduce stress on the body and help patients exercise. The natural pressure of water in therapy pools reduces joint and soft-tissue swelling. As a result, patients can avoid pain while they strengthen muscles, increase range of motion, and avoid deconditioning. Most major insurance plans, including Illinois Medicaid, are accepted. PT/OT Direct Access
No physician referral is needed for outpatient physical (PT) and occupational (OT) therapy.
The States of Indiana and Illinois have direct access to both physical and occupational therapy services. Direct access allows patients to seek and receive examination and treatment from a licensed physical or occupational therapist without a prescription or a referral from a physician.
